My favorite memory of Paul Hayden Desser
I first met Hayden when he played a club in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, called the Eclipse Room. He played a solo set, opening for Rusty and hHead. My friend and I talked to Hayden after the show at the merch table, where Hayden was selling his own merch (ah, the early days). He signed my friend’s CD “When I grow up, I want to be a proctologist”, and we chatted about performing. The year was 1996, and I’m glad that Hayden is still performing and writing albums.
The last time I saw Sufjan Stevens
...which was at the soon-to-be closed “Richards on Richards” in Vancouver, some guy came up to me and asked me if I’d mind being asked a few questions about Sufjan. I gave the most idiotic interview ever; I hope it never gets used in anything!
